Our sewing classes are led by master sewist, and Street Craftery founder, Da’Shika A. Street.
Da’Shika offers over 30 years of sewing experience and is passionate about sharing her gift for textile art with learners of all ages.
In our Downtown Akron studio, students learn common sewing terminology, machine safety, pattern drafting, cutting, and constructing projects from start to finish!
BEGINNERS COURSES
In our group beginners sewing classes, students ages 8 years to adult learn the fundamentals of machine sewing, operation, and project construction in as little as 4 weeks!

INTERMEDIATE CLASSES
Students will expand upon the knowledge gained in our beginner’s sewing course adding technical skills like: measurements, pattern reading installing zippers, buttons & more!
MASTERY WORKSHOPS
These workshops are ideal for proficient sewists who wish to learn how to troubleshoot sewing/design errors, modify patterns and enhance project construction skills.
